There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and vacancy
All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face
Heather sat alone in the comfy chair. She adored this coffee shop on weekends. It got her out of the school and let her just relax to wonderful aromas of tea, coffee and pastries. It was pretty modern looking with an electric fireplace and brick walls as well as regular metal chairs and small, round tables. There were, fortunately, several sets of low fabric chairs and short tables.
Heather sat next to the fireplace, her whole body cuddled into one chair, one hand supporting a book on her knee and the other holding a mug of warm tea in the other. Her side was leaning on the arm of the couch and her legs bent comfortably and her soft dress laid over her legs nicely.
The book had a very plain cover, flimsy brown with plain gold writing. Despite it's plain look it was very long and Heather's eyes never left it, not even to take a sip from her tea.
Heather was dressed in a cream colored dress, a very common dress she wore plain sandals and small gold heart necklace and gold butterfly earrings. Her tan colored coat laid on the table in front of her as well as a small white porcelain saucer with a buttered 'home-baked' biscuit with a hint of raspberry jam.
The coffee shop was rather quiet expect for a few hushed conversations and the occasional ringing of the bell over the door as someone entered or left. It was such a peaceful place to read and enjoy her tea.
Heather took a small sip and went back to avidly reading until a sudden noise uninterrupted her and she nearly split her tea on the arm of the chair. She gave her usual squeak of surprise and looked around for whoever had ungraciously cut into her reading time. Though she was a little annoyed Heather she didn't show it, instead her innocent eyes were wide with surprise and curiosity.
All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you
