Riven made her way to the western dorms, having finally received directions to this part of the campus. It was an odd school, it really was; random girls were turning into cats and birds, while some people seemed to disappear into thin air. When she'd first step foot on the grounds, she remembered seeing a few teenagers strike a fire at their fingertips. It's so very odd, she thought, keeping her pace as she strolled along the halls.
She passed each dorm room, keeping note of who was in which, if possible. Most of the doors were closed, but the one left ajar allowed her to take a quick peek inside. A gust of cold air hit her immediately as she neared it, causing her to recoil in surprise. Surely someone couldn't have been keeping the air conditioning on that low? She shrugged it off, continuing on to reach her destination. When she'd arrived at 109, she found that it was between an empty dorm to the left and a rather... weird... one to the right. 110 seemed to give off a chill that wasn't like the one from before, but it was like it was grasping onto her very self. Riven hurriedly shuffled into her own room to escape from it, finding it rather empty, aside from the basic furnishings. She didn't bother closing her door, even though she knew fully well that she could've, despite the two luggage cases she had in each hand.
Letting the two baggages down, she sat on the edge of her bed with a sigh. She felt just so out of place here, with everyone having powers that were capable of mass destruction, but they all had the will to control them. Riven? She had the will to not use it. She didn't belong.
