I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well.
Dancing slowly in an empty room,
Can the lonely take the place of you?
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well.
Dancing slowly in an empty room,
Can the lonely take the place of you?
*ench* *ench* *ench* *ench* *ench*. "My, lord" was the first thought that flashed across the young vampire's mind. She reached out to her bedside table and pulled her alarm closer. 4pm glowed in the darkness. She gave a slight moan and tapped the top of the clock, turning it off. She pulled off her soft, warm comforter and crawled out of bed.
The room was nearly pitch black, but with vampire vision, her eyes lead her around the room without a single thought of it. She walked to the light switch and turned it up, the room perhaps dim for a human-but perfectly comfortable to a vampire. She walked elegantly to the washroom and got in the shower, humming a song she had forgotten the words to as the warm water heated her ice-cold skin.
Once she was all clean she slipped back into her nightgown with her hair all wrapped up in a towel. She slipped on a housecoat and made her way to the living room.
April's living room was far from made for comfort, though on particularly boring days she supposed her couch was comfortable enough. Her long sofa was square and stiff, pure white with black pillows giving it a very modern look. She had a large television that she rarely used and a glass coffee table that had no stains, chips or scratches. The black and white rug over the hardwood floor had absolutely no spills in it, in fact-it could have been brand new. April gave a sigh, the pristine living room reminding her of how empty her life was, only for a moment though. She caught herself and lifted her head, letting all upsetting thoughts be drowned out by one other thought. Hunger.
She continued walking gracefully to the kitchen. It too was pristine, the shiny stone never been turned on and the microwave not even opened. The only thing that had been used was the fridge. She opened it and grabbed one packet of dark red liquid from a baggie that hug from the shelf. It's scent hit her and her mouth watered... blood.
She grabbed a tall, pearly white mug from a cabinet and cut open the baggie from the end, filling the mug and pinching the rest of the bag, storing it in the fridge for later. She sat at her dining table, leaning back in her chair and sipping her mug like it was coffee. She'd have like to pretended it was actually coffee.
Suddenly her doorbell went off. She got up quickly with her mug and opened the door.
I sing myself a quiet lullaby.
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again.
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again.
